I’m a Psychologist, Counsellor and Behaviouralist, with a special interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or ACT. Let me help you.

Perhaps you're feeling down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support and guidance.

I have more than 15 years of experience as a Psychologist practising in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane. I have worked with adults, teens and children dealing with a range of Mental Health and Disability specific issues, including: Anxiety and phobia disorders; Depressive disorders (incl. Bipolar); Autism Spectrum Disorders; Intellectual Disabilities; Anger Management; Trauma related disorders (incl. PTSD); Obsessive Compulsive disorders; Personality Disorders; Self-Harming behaviours; Pain Management; Domestic Violence survivors; Sexual Abuse survivors; Grief and loss; Bullying issues; Ante and Post Natal disorders; Gambling and Drug addictions.

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive, Behaviour and Affective therapies, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) . But my specialty field is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

ACT stands for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is about accepting the things we can’t change and committing action to pursue a life of meaning and purpose.

ACT is an active therapy, or action focused approach to talk therapy. It asks you to consider the workability of your behaviours and then choose to do things differently in your life, rather than repeat the same painful cycles that keep you stuck. This requires treating your thoughts and feelings differently by creating objectivity, so that you are not defined by your problems. Then clarifying your life direction to realise your potential through committed action.
