What is ACT?

ACT stands for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is about accepting the things we can’t change and committing action to pursue a life of meaning and purpose. 

ACT is an active therapy, not a talk-based therapy. Using this approach, I will work alongside you to build skills to deal with difficult thoughts and feelings. This will involve creating objectivity and broadening your perspective, so that you are not defined by your problems. Then clarifying your life direction, by identifying the things and people that you care most about, so that we can formulate goals towards realising your potential.
